Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Miami Beach Team Behind DryMark Restoration Miami Beach
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or mold’s turned a closet into a health hazard. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and trained to the same standard we apply across every job we touch in Miami Beach. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s the drying log, the written scope, and the signed warranty we leave behind.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration in 2011 after eight years as a claims adjuster watching homeowners lose tens of thousands because the restoration company forgot to photograph the subfloor or lost the moisture readings. That documentation gap became the whole business. I built The Haven Standard around three things: a written price before anyone starts work, a photo record on every visit, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise signed by both of us. I still review every drying log before it goes to an adjuster. If the psychrometric data doesn’t support the invoice, we run the equipment longer. I live in Mid-Beach with two rescue dogs who have no respect for my schedule.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been running extraction and drying crews for eleven years, the last four with us in Miami Beach. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), which means he can read a vapor pressure differential and explain why your drywall isn’t drying without making you feel stupid for asking. He specializes in high-rise water losses, the kind where we’re running hose up twelve floors and coordinating with building engineers who’ve seen every shortcut in the book. Marcus carries a laminated card with the Haven Standard clauses in his truck. He’ll show it to you without being asked. Off hours, he restores vintage motorcycles and complains about Florida humidity with the authority of someone who measures it for a living.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena came to us after six years in commercial abatement, where she learned to build containment so tight you could pressurize it with a cigarette smoke test. She’s RIA-certified and handles our most complex mold cases, the ones that start with a homeowner’s “musty smell” and end with us removing four feet of gutted bathroom wall. She built our current negative-air protocol after a 2022 job in South Beach where the original contractor’s containment failed and cross-contaminated three units. Elena’s written scope runs three pages minimum. She includes material classifications by trade name, moisture content percentages, and the exact dehumidifier model we’re deploying. She grows orchids in a converted closet at her place in North Beach and will talk about humidity control until you regret asking.
Darnell J., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phones you call at 2 a.m. when your water heater’s spraying into the garage. He’s been with us three years and has never sent a caller to voicemail, which is harder than it sounds during hurricane season. He dispatches crews, coordinates with adjusters, and keeps the photo documentation organized so Marcus and Elena aren’t hunting for files when the insurance company asks. Darnell’s the one who explains Haven Standard, Clause 1 to first-time callers: we deliver a written price before work starts, every time, with no exceptions. He tracks our response times down to the minute and will tell you exactly how long the last five South Beach flood calls took us to answer. He was born in Liberty City, raised three kids in Miami Beach, and knows which buildings have the finicky water shut-offs.
Sofia K., Restoration Apprentice
Sofia’s in her second year with us, rotating through water, mold, and fire crews before she picks a specialty. She’s already certified in WRT and working toward her ASD while she learns to set up Injectidry systems and read daily moisture logs that actually hold up under adjuster review. Alicia assigned her to Elena for mold containment because Sofia’s the only apprentice we’ve had who asks why we’re doing something before she does it. She moved to Miami Beach from Tampa in 2022 and lives in a studio apartment where she tests her own humidity control theories. She speaks Spanish with our Spanish-speaking clients and English with a slight Tampa drawl that Marcus makes fun of.
One Standard, Every Job

We’re independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, the same framework that governs every crew in our network across Florida. That means Haven Standard, Clause 1 applies here exactly as it applies everywhere else: written price before work begins, no scope-creep additions once we’re inside your property. It means the 365-Day Done Right Promise is a signed guarantee, not a verbal assurance that evaporates when the crew leaves. It means every visit produces a documented photo record, every drying job produces daily moisture logs formatted to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, and every technician who enters your home is named, licensed, insured, and background-checked before they arrive.
We use the same professional-grade equipment you’ll find on our other crews: Dri-Eaz and Phoenix dehumidifiers, XPOWER and B-Air air movers, Injectidry systems for hardwood and cavity drying. The difference in Miami Beach is the building stock. Art Deco plaster, mid-century concrete, high-rise fire suppression systems that dump thousands of gallons through multiple floors. We’ve adapted our protocols to this specific architecture because water moves differently through a 1936 Streamline Moderne wall than through standard wood frame. Our drying logs reflect those material differences. Our scopes name the specific substrates we’re treating. Our warranties cover the work because we documented the work.
If you’ve got a competitor’s written estimate, bring it. We’ll review it at no charge under our Free Second Opinion policy. We’ll tell you what’s missing, what’s overstated, and whether the scope actually matches the damage we can see. No obligation. No pressure. Just the same standard we apply to our own jobs.
Call (786) 384-5591. A live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail trees. No next-business-day callbacks while water is still moving through your walls.
